John Cena vs. Triple H: A Main Event I Am Not Looking Forward To
I was just watching USA and saw what felt like the 100th promo for next Monday Night Raw's main event: John Cena vs. Triple H for the No. 1 contender's spot at Night of Champions. This got me thinking about the possible outcomes of the match.
First, let me recall how we got to this mind-blowing match.
Last Monday, Batista announced that there would be a mini-tournament to determine Randy Orton's No. 1 contender.
There would be four competitors taking place in two first-round matches, allowing the finals to take place the following week. Triple H would take on MVP, and John Cena would take on The Miz.
I thought to myself, "Oh, good. Hopefully, we'll see one of the main event stars take on one of the mid-carders and either MVP or The Miz will be getting a well deserved and needed push." Silly me.
Both Triple H and John Cena won their matches after their respective opponents had the advantage for the majority of the match.
